Teacher´s Profile
Our teachers are all native speakers. They have an university degree focussed in teaching languages and are experienced in teaching Spanish to foreigners. We have trained our teachers to follow the school´s methodology and philosophy.You will find that our teachers are people who enjoy working with you rather than just being pure information providers .
Quality of Teaching
The quality of teaching at Inhispania is guaranteed since the school is accredited by Instituto Cervantes as a Centro Acreditado para la Enseñanza del Español como Lengua Extranjera (Accredited Center for the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language). We are proud of having obtained an excellent score in the evaluation report for this accreditation which underlined:
an efficient academic coordination;
good teacher's preparation,
a methodology adapted to the needs of the students;
the variety of the after-school activities;
the additional services offered to the students.
Our Methods
Our concept is based on communicative methods, in which we combine grammar, communication and cultural knowledge. We want you to get used to speaking Spanish from your first day in the class.
The goal of our classroom activities is to teach you to speak and write authentic and proper Spanish.
In the lessons you are thought: the creation and comprehension of written texts, conversation skills, adquisition of vocabulary, comprehension of the Spanish grammar and its use
Learning is presented to the students as a process of creative construction, in which they learn to correct their own mistakes and gain from them.
A course book is followed, complemented by additional materials such as worksheets, journals, debates, group work, and class projects. Some contents are also introduced by story telling, games and songs, small group work and role-plays.
To learn a language is much more than to learn its grammar. Therefore all our courses integrate knowlege of the Spanish culture and history, as well as the Spanish way of life. The interaction between students and teachers is encouraged by our extra-activities.
To ensure that the understanding between teacher and students is optimal, we ask you to evaluate your teachers regularly.
Our Activities
To learn a language is much more than to learn its grammar. That is why Inhispania offers you the option to take part in several after school activities.This will allow you to get in touch with the other students and teachers. Inhispania offers you the chance to visit Madrid and its surroundings, view Spanish movies, join dance classes, and much more. We are always open to your suggestions.
Visits & Excursions
Inhispania offers you the chance to get to know Madrid and its surroundings better, thanks to organized trips and excursions. E.g. you can visit magical cities, like Toledo, Segovia or Cuenca; or see the splendour of the old Spanish empire in El Escorial, and the luxurious palaces of Aranjuez and Riofrío.
Spanish Cinema
The school organizes Spanish movie sessions, which are free of charge to our students. We want to give you access to one of the most interesting industries of European cinema. Most of the films are with subtitles, so that you can understand the movie better.
Dance Courses
Do you want to learn how to dance the salsa, mambo or tango? Maybe sevillanas? Together with a well established dance school we offer you a wide and interesting range of dance courses.
Tapas & Wine
Spanish Tapas and Wine are getting world-famous. Inhispania offers you the chance to know them better with special `tasting´ evenings.
Inhispania.art
Inhispania takes part in a program where young Spanish artists can present their work. Every month we host a different exhibition by a young and upcoming artist.
Others
The success of our activities is due to the fact that we are open to the suggestions from students. Do not hesitate to suggest any activity that we can organise during your stay.
